Resin Bound

Resin Bound is commonly known as Stone carpet, this is where the aggregate/stones are mixed in a static mixer with our 2 part aliphatic resin. The product is then poured onto the site then levelled to form a permeable solution (i.e. if it rains then the water will drain through), this is commonly known as a Sustainable Drainage System (SUDS).

Typically stone carpet used to replace blocked paving in urban areas to create a SUDS system and to improve the Aesthetics and to create a seamless finish.

Resin Bonded is commonly known as Anti Skid or High Friction Surfacing and the main application is to apply on a path or road to enhance a grip to prevent skidding/slipping.  The application is carried out applying the 2 part aliphatic PU to the surface using a squeegee, then the bauxite or granite is broadcast on top by hand (scattered), the loose aggregate is then collected to be used again.

We supply large quantities of this system for Highway applications use for antiskid in high accident spots and to reduce vehicle speed on the road (i.e. coming to a junction, traffic lights etc), we also supply a high performance system for coating ship decks, bridges for heavy duty use.
